What’s the opportunity? 🤔
We are seeking a Senior Rating Analyst for our distributed. In this role, you will report directly to the Ratings Manager Keith Hamlet, partnering closely with Anelia Oudit and the regional ratings team.
The Senior Rating Analyst leads and undertakes rigorous analytical work and is proficient in conducting relevant research and fundamental industry, business and financial analytics to corporates and sovereigns across the region. The successful candidate is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, is customer-oriented, and demonstrates excellent presentation skills in front of internal and external audiences.
What will I be doing? 🚀
Leading rating teams for new ratings and quarterly & annual surveillances
Management of client relationships
Conducting rating analysis, including financial statement analysis / national accounts analysis, and preparation of rating reports
Supervising the performance of the Analysts, Junior Analysts and Research Associates
Facilitating training workshops as required, both internal and external
Conducting analysis and monitoring of the relevant business / industry / economy
Authoring analytical research articles / opinion pieces / industry studies
Coordinating the maintenance of the company’s databases
Preparation of other technical reports
Reviews/edits rating reports to ensure high quality output that is in line with the company's standards
Perform any other related duties as assigned
What qualifications do I need? 📖
Five years relevant working experience in the financial analytics industry
At least two years prior experience as a rating analyst is required
BSc - finance / business related
MSc in economics or finance/MBA in business administration
CFA/FRM would be an asset
