This role will be instrumental in elevating our editorial standards and growing our reach.

Lead editorial and newsletter production
Manage the full publishing cycle — from planning and writing to editing, formatting, and distribution
Curate job listings, salary data, job market trends, and industry news relevant to early-, mid-career, and senior professionals
Ensure a consistent tone, structure, and style across all ShortlistHR content
Oversee the integration of multiple content verticals — including our job board, podcast, and editorial features — into a cohesive publishing schedule
Produce and coordinate interviews
Identify and invite compelling guests for the ShortlistHR podcast and other interview formats
Prepare research briefs and help shape interview questions
Liaise with guests and collaborators to schedule, prep, and follow up
Manage timelines for interview-based content, from recording to publishing
Shape ShortlistHR’s editorial voice
Uphold a clear, credible, and professional tone aligned with our brand
Use performance data and audience feedback to improve editorial decisions
Evolve our content formats and guidelines to meet audience needs
Support content-led events and special projects
Collaborate on AMAs, webinars, and meetups featuring editorial guests
Moderate or co-host live sessions as needed
Partner with contributors or sponsors on content-led initiatives
Who you are:
A seasoned editor with strong judgment and clarity of voice
Comfortable managing a high-output publishing calendar and multiple formats
Organised and proactive — able to run editorial operations independently
Familiar with content strategy and audience-first storytelling
Confident working with senior professionals, partners, and collaborators
Flexible and creative — quick to adapt in a fast-moving newsroom
Knowledgeable about the Caribbean job market and workplace culture (plus)
The bottom line: We’re looking for someone with:
5+ years of experience in editorial roles — ideally in newsletters, journalism, or digital content
Strong writing and editing skills, especially for professional and career-focused audiences
Experience producing or coordinating interviews or podcast-style content
Familiarity with tools like Substack, Beehiiv, or similar publishing platforms
Ability to analyse content performance and translate insights into improvements
Experience supporting branded content or editorial partnerships (plus)
Basic visual/layout skills using Canva or Figma (bonus)
Contract terms:
Full-time contractor (40 hours per week)
Salary: TT$10,000/month
Flexible, remote role (Trinidad & Tobago preferred)
