Quick take: UWI-ROYTEC seeks an experienced quality assurance professional to lead the implementation of our quality management system and ensure institutional and programme accreditation compliance.

You’ll oversee all aspects of quality assurance — from monitoring standards and conducting audits to coordinating programme reviews and managing accreditation processes with national and international bodies.

From implementing the quality management system and liaising with overseas partners to preparing accreditation reports for ACTT and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, you'll help ensure every programme meets the highest standards of quality.
Go deeper: This role requires an experienced quality assurance professional who can:
Monitor and implement quality management systems
Monitor all standards contained in the Quality Management System (QMS) and online distance learning QMS
Conduct an annual review of the QMS and online distance learning QMS
Implement and monitor overseas partners’ QMS for programmes offered in collaboration with the organisation
Review quality assurance handbook and make changes as necessary
Monitor Quality Assurance targets as outlined in operational plan
Drive continuous improvement
Formulate interventions for continuous improvement of institutional processes, procedures, and policies
Review of second marking reports and course monitoring reports and make appropriate referrals for improvement in teaching and learning
Monitor and report on compliance of review recommendations as approved by Board and Management Appointed Committees
Conduct audits and programme reviews
Review programme specifications for programme compliance
Conduct examinations audits and course outline audits
Conduct quality reviews on new programmes and courses as required by the Programme Development, Monitoring and Review Committee
Conduct programme implementation and planning audits
Co-ordinate the conduct of programme reviews in accordance with established institutional policies and guidelines
Provide programme review reports to the Manager — Institutional Effectiveness
Manage accreditation and regulatory compliance
Conduct follow-ups on recommendations from the Accreditation Council of Trinidad & Tobago (ACTT) on annual reports filed by the organisation and overseas partners
Support the accreditation efforts of overseas partners for accredited programmes offered at UWI-ROYTEC
Forward new programme applications for programme approval to the ACTT
Respond to Ministry of Education queries for programme information on GATE funded programmes
Assist with the preparation of self-study reports for accreditation
Liaise with partners and stakeholders
Liaise with overseas partners on quality assurance matters
Respond to stakeholders on quality assurance and programme concerns
Lead reporting and data management
Collect and collate data on programme administration for analysis and reporting
Prepare monthly reports to the Manager — Institutional Effectiveness
Prepare organisation annual Quality Assurance reports to the ACTT
Prepare annual transnational recognised institution and programme reports to the ACTT for overseas partners and transnational programmes
Supervise staff and support institutional activities
Supervise and mentor staff under remit
Assist in the organisation’s annual graduation exercise and new student orientation
Perform other related duties as deemed necessary

Who you are:
An experienced quality assurance professional with deep understanding of tertiary education standards
Strong analytical thinker with data-driven decision-making skills
Effective leader who can supervise and mentor staff
Detail-oriented professional comfortable with audits, compliance, and accreditation processes
Knowledgeable about online distance learning quality standards
Collaborative team player who can also work independently
Skilled communicator who can liaise with regulatory bodies and international partners
We’re looking for someone with:
Master of Science degree in Social Sciences OR Master in Business Administration
Minimum 7 years’ progressive experience in Quality Assurance
At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably within the education sector
Training in quality assurance, research, and programme development
Essential knowledge and skills
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
In-depth understanding of online distance learning
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of the education industry and quality assurance in the tertiary education system
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Desirable qualifications
Certification in Monitoring and Evaluation
